Dashboards
This dashboard provides information on the occupations requested in EURES vacancies in the past four quarters. They are split into the overarching macro groups and the more detailed occupation groups that lie below.
This dashboard shows differences in demand for occupations across countries. It shows the share of EURES vacancies for selected occupations in the total number of EURES vacancies in a given country.
This dashboard shows the share that occupation groups (ISCO 2-digit) have across sectors and countries compared to the total demand in EURES vacancies. The map presents demand for sector/occupation combinations in different countries. It shows the share of EURES vacancies for a selected occupation of the total number of EURES vacancies posted in a given country.
This dashboard shows occupation and skills requested within sectors as requested in EURES vacancies. The information can be displayed for occupation groups (2-digit ISCO) and two levels of the skills classification.

- ISCO
The International standard classification of occupations (ISCO) is an international classification under the responsibility of the International Labour Organization (ILO) for organising jobs into a clearly defined set of groups according to the tasks and duties undertaken in the job.
- ESCO
ESCO (European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations) is the European multilingual classification of Skills, Competences and Occupations.
ESCO works as a dictionary, describing, identifying, and classifying professional occupations and skills relevant for the EU labour market; and education and training. Those concepts and the relationships between them can be understood by electronic systems, which allows different online platforms to use ESCO for services like matching jobseekers to jobs on the basis of their skills, suggesting trainings to people who want to reskill or upskill etc.
- NACE
NACE is the acronym used to designate the various statistical classifications of economic activities developed since 1970 in the European Union (EU). NACE provides the framework for collecting and presenting a large range of statistical data according to economic activity in the fields of economic statistics (e.g. business statistics, labour market, national accounts) and in other statistical domains.
Statistics produced on the basis of NACE are comparable at European and, in general, at world level. The use of NACE is mandatory within the European Statistical System.
Collaboration ELA and Cedefop
In January 2023, the European Labour Authority (ELA, system owner of the EURES portal) and the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Cedefop) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This to agree on cooperation between the two organisations to provide users meaningful and clear information concerning job advertisements that can be found online.
Data from online job advertisements (OJA) are a highly promising source of information about recruitment and the skill needs of employers. Since 2016, Cedefop has developed and built a system to gather and analyse OJA data and an online web tool for OJA data dissemination (SkillsOVATE). EURES is considered an essential complementary source of OJA data.
