Networking

As part of its mission to match jobseekers with jobs, EURES plays a big part in organising European (Online) Job Days, recruitment events connecting employers across Europe with jobseekers. The events involve presentations from participating employers looking for workers and information points on working abroad. They provide an opportunity to ask different companies about their working conditions, the labour market, recruitment processes and even jobs they are advertising. Meeting employers could not only result in employment, it is a chance to grow your network and learn more about how organisations operate.

Accessing extra support

Finding a job and relocating is not always an easy process, which is why EURES provides more than a list of vacancies. Nearly 1,000 EURES Advisers are available to guide you throughout your career, answering all of your questions along the way. Each region has local advisers that specialise in providing information, guidance and placement to both jobseekers and employers. In some cases EURES helps you to access financial support, for example grants and travel vouchers, to ensure your job transition is as seamless as possible, as well as learning and development opportunities to grow your skillset and showcase it to potential employers. Using actions and initiatives such as the EURES Targeted Mobility Scheme and Europass, EURES works to equip you with the tools you need for your career.
