Plus, all of this is set against a backdrop of stunning, natural beauty. If you haven’t thought about it before, you probably are now!
The first step to finding suitable employment in any country is creating a CV and cover letter which show you to be the best candidate for that role.
Each job has specific criteria to which you should try to tailor your CV. Equally, what employers value in a potential employee may differ from country to country.
With this in mind, EURES Sweden, in partnership with the Swedish Public Employment Service Arbetsformedlingen, has produced a helpful webinar entitled “How to write a cover letter and CV”.
The hour-long video in English provides practical tips on how best to present your application professionally in order to catch a recruiter's eye – more specifically, a Swedish recruiter.
The video was broadcast live on Thursday 12 October, and almost 350 people registered and tuned in to watch from all over the EU. But don’t worry if you missed it, as the webinar is now available to view on YouTube.
More webinars available
‘Living and Working in Sweden’ is just one of a series of webinars. Each one focuses on a different topic, such as ‘Nail the job interview’, ‘How to write a cover letter’, ‘How to write a CV’ and ‘Networking’.
Why sign up?
The webinars will help you get a good understanding of how to approach applying for jobs in Sweden and the processes involved. Plus, by registering and watching the webinars live, you also have the opportunity to ask questions and get answers immediately.
Webinars are a great way to get an insight into the job market, the mind-set of employers, and how to better prepare yourself and your CV.
“The success lies in the fact that you can follow information from wherever you are in Europe and at the same time chat and ask your specific question in real time,” says Assistant National Coordinator of EURES Sweden, Mikael Lindbom.
Being better prepared from the outset means the job search and interview process can happen faster, which is beneficial for both jobseekers and employers.
To receive updates on the upcoming webinars, you can follow Arbetsformedlingen on social media on Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin, or check the EURES events page for more details on a variety of events.
