What does freedom of movement mean to your business?
This was the question that the #EURES25 competition asked employers from across Europe to answer. Employers were asked to send a picture that represents what freedom of movement means to their business, and the prizes for the winners included vouchers worth €500.
Many of the employers also submitted accompanying captions in which they reflected on how EURES programmes such as European (Online) Job Days, Your first EURES job and Reactivate have helped their businesses benefit from freedom of movement, by supporting them to recruit candidates from across the EU.
The three competition winners were announced during an award ceremony at the EURES 25th Anniversary Event in Brussels on 30 January. The first of these winners was R2M Solution, a consulting company with four branches across Europe. This is their story.
Employer name:
Profile:
R2M Solution is a European research and consulting company, founded in Italy in 2012. Since then it has grown to encompass over 50 members of staff across four countries. R2M’s team is truly international and some of its staff members have benefited from the EU’s ‘Reactivate’ job mobility scheme, which helps jobseekers over the age of 35 to find work abroad in the EU.
Competition entry:
For their submission to the #EURES25 competition, R2M sent the above photograph, along with the following caption:
Will you guess how many nationalities are represented here?
This is a picture of my company – R2M Solution – during our Christmas meeting held in Pavia, Italy, 18 December 2019.
R2M – Research to Market – is an integrated and multi-disciplinary consulting company founded in 2012 which has grown to over 50 people established in four branches in Italy, Spain, France and the United Kingdom, with 14 nationalities represented (Italy, France, Spain, USA, Brazil, Venezuela, the Netherlands, Argentina, Egypt, India, Portugal, the UK, Israel and China).
We are deeply involved in EU collaborative research and innovation, hence ‘freedom of movement’ is an essential value to our business. Two of our staff members have already applied and benefited from the EU’s ‘Reactivate’ mobility scheme.”
