Fleeing the war in Ukraine? The EU Talent Pool Pilot can help you to find a job in the EU

The EU Talent Pool Pilot is an online job-searching tool for people fleeing the war in Ukraine. If you benefit from Temporary Protection in a Member State, you can use it to access over 3 million job vacancies and 4,000 potential employers in the EU.

Fleeing the war in Ukraine? The EU Talent Pool Pilot can help you to find a job in the EU

Interested? The EU Talent Pool Pilot Initiative is implemented through the EURES portal. To use it, you must first register as a jobseeker by following these steps. Once registered, you must publish your CV in the EURES database. After you have done this, you will be able to use the Pool to browse job vacancies, and get advice from experts in countries who are part of the Initiative.

Jobs listed on the EU Talent Pool are not translated into Ukrainian or Russian. To translate an opening, you can use free online tools (such as Google Translate). If you need more specific assistance, contact the EURES Helpdesk (this service is available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish).

If you have concerns about your personal data, please be reassured that access to the portal is secure. To join, you will be required to create an EU Login with a two-step authentication process. Furthermore, when your CV is published, it will only become accessible to EURES Advisers, as well as employers and intermediaries that are registered and validated with EURES. You can also choose to have an anonymised CV and have the contact done through a form. If you’re unsure about a person or organisation who has reached out to you through the EURES portal, please report it to the EURES Helpdesk.

While you have the right to choose which participating Member State you want to enjoy temporary protection rights in (including to work), you can only benefit from temporary protection in one Member State at a time (the Member State that registered you and issued your residence permit). You can take up a job in a different EU country, but you need to signal this to the authorities in both Member States.

If you need to, you are allowed to go back to Ukraine for a short time (e.g. for family visits, to collect documents, or to rescue family members) without losing your temporary protection status. Contact the authorities of your host EU country to find out more.

More information on your temporary protection rights, as well as a list of national authorities, is available on the European Commission website.
