Rationale and aims
Seasonalwork.NL was created by the Dutch Agriculture and Horticulture Association LTO Labour Force (LTO Arbeidskracht) and is supported by EURES Netherlands and the Employee Insurance Agency (Uitvoeringsinstituut Werknemersverzekeringen – UWV), the Dutch EURES member. The platform provides an online matching platform that directly connects EU/EEA seasonal workers with Dutch agricultural employers and promotes fair labour mobility. It aims to offer a transparent recruitment channel and support informed participation in seasonal agricultural work in the Netherlands.
Support offered
Seasonalwork.NL provides an online matching and information service that connects Dutch agricultural employers with EU/EEA jobseekers seeking seasonal work. The platform enables employers to publish vacancies with key employment and accommodation information and allows workers to search vacancies, create profiles, and apply online. It also offers guidance on living and working conditions, labour rights and obligations, housing standards, registration procedures and compulsory health insurance in the Netherlands.
Target groups and eligibility
Seasonalwork.NL targets Dutch agricultural and horticultural employers and EU/EEA jobseekers seeking seasonal work in the Dutch agricultural sector. Jobseekers can access the platform free of charge. Employers must be subscribers and meet quality safeguards related to employment conditions, housing standards, registrations and health insurance arrangements in order to advertise vacancies.
