Rationale and aims
Pravna podpora mobilnim delavcem znotraj Kontaktne točke za spodbujanje enakega obravnavanja delavcevis part of the activities of EURES at the Employment Service of Slovenia – ESS (Zavod Republike Slovenije za Zaposlovanje - ZRSZ).The service provides legal information and consultancy to seasonal and other mobile workers and their employers to support the exercise of free movement rights within the EU. It aims to improve awareness and understanding of rights and obligations related to cross-border and short-term employment situations relevant to seasonal work.
Support offered
The service provides case-specific legal information and advice to seasonal workers and employers on EU and Slovenian labour law, employment and work in EU/EEA countries, social security coordination, unemployment and health insurance, residence rights, posting of workers, basic tax issues, and related matters. It offers support through an information service accessible by email and telephone and directs users to relevant national or EU bodies when questions fall outside its remit.
Target groups and eligibility
The service targets mobile workers and employers, including seasonal and cross-border workers from the EU/EEA and Switzerland, as well as certain third-country nationals covered by EU free movement and social security rules. There are no formal eligibility criteria, and access is open without registration, provided that queries fall within the scope of EU free movement policies.
