Rationale and aims
The EURES Romania’s initiative provides practical, rights-based information to Romanian seasonal workers before, during and after employment in other EU and EEA countries. It aims to support informed labour mobility by clarifying working conditions, rights and obligations, and access to support services relevant to seasonal work abroad.
Support offered
Informații pentru lucrători sezonieri români interesați să muncească în alte state UE/SEE provides information for Romanian seasonal workers through online leaflets, guides and digital content published on the national EURES portal and social media channels. The initiative offers practical guidance on labour rights, employment contracts, social insurance and available support services in destination countries. It also shares job opportunities and information relevant to seasonal employment.
Target groups and eligibility
The information campaign targets Romanian workers seeking employment in EU and EEA countries, particularly in agriculture, hospitality, logistics, construction and the food industry. The second target group are returning workers, young people considering working abroad and family members of mobile workers. Employers interested in recruiting Romanian seasonal workers can also benefit, and access to the materials is open, free of charge and without registration requirements.
