Expertisecentrum Flexwonen

Expertise Centre for Flexible Housing

  • Project

Rationale and aims

Expertisecentrum Flexwonen provides guidance and tools to support safe and compliant flexible housing solutions for intra-EU and seasonal workers facing urgent accommodation needs. It aims to promote flexible housing as a rapid response and to support employers, public authorities and housing providers while offering seasonal workers access to information on their rights, obligations and housing options.

Support offered

Expertisecentrum Flexwonen acts as an advisory and knowledge centre that provides guidance, tools and information to support the development of temporary and flexible housing solutions for seasonal and other transnational workers. It offers online information resources, meetings, workshops and digital tools that help employers, housing providers and workers understand housing options, rights and obligations and locate suitable accommodation.

Target groups and eligibility

Expertisecentrum Flexwonen targets public authorities, housing providers, employers and temporary work agencies involved in housing transnational and seasonal workers, as well as individuals themselves. Online information and initial support are available to all without formal entry conditions, while in-depth or project-based support may be subject to individual agreements, including possible fees or co-financing.
