Europe within reach

The aim of the event is to connect the worlds of work and education by networking secondary schools, public administrations and institutions active in the field of youth work (NIVAM, SAIA, Europe Direct, etc.) and thus to facilitate greater mutual information, but above all to raise the awareness of young people (in this case, secondary school students). Through the educational counsellor who will attend the meeting, we want to provide them with information on:

• European labour market trends and skills requirements, with an emphasis on the changing nature of the labour market; EURES TMS mobility schemes;
• tools to support cross-border labour mobility of young people;
• the European Solidarity Corps and other volunteering opportunities;
• the functioning of the European Labour Authority;
• opportunities to prepare young people for the labour market;
• and other opportunities offered by freedom of movement.
