Rationale and aims
Caritas Norway ‘Work in Norway’ YouTube channel provides multilingual information to seasonal agricultural workers on their rights and obligations in the Norwegian labour market. The initiative aims to raise awareness among workers who may not seek out official sources and to direct them to further support services offered by Caritas Norway.
Support offered
Caritas Norway ‘Work in Norway’ YouTube channel provides online informational videos covering minimum wages, employment contracts, working hours, housing standards and general working conditions for seasonal workers. The channel also directs viewers to Caritas Norway’s wider support services, including helplines, legal assistance, individual counselling and referral to relevant public authorities.
Target groups and eligibility
The YouTube channel targets seasonal agricultural workers, including both intra-EU/EEA workers and third-country nationals, particularly those in vulnerable situations or with limited access to official information. There are no eligibility conditions, as the videos are publicly available on YouTube.
