Rationale and aims
Beratungsstelle für mobile Beschäftigte in Niedersachsenprovides information and advice to transnational mobile workers from other EU Member States working in Lower Saxony on labour law and social security rights. The aim is to empower them to assert these rights and address situations of labour exploitation.
Support offered
Beratungsstelle für mobile Beschäftigte in Niedersachsenoffers free and confidential advice on labour law and social security to EU mobile (including seasonal) workers through in-person consultations, telephone and email. Additionally, it supports workers in asserting their rights, including assistance related to disputes and legal processes.
Target groups and eligibility
The initiative targets EU and EEA mobile and seasonal workers employed in Lower Saxony across all sectors, particularly those facing language barriers or labour exploitation. Eligibility is limited to EU mobile workers working in the region, without the need to provide proof, while other groups are referred to appropriate services.
