Rationale and aims
Sektion Dienstnehmer der Landwirtschaftskammer Vorarlberg provides information and legal advice to seasonal agricultural and forestry workers on employment and housing rights, with a focus on foreign and non-German-speaking workers. It aims to improve awareness of rights, support access to counselling and legal representation, and help workers address problems related to working and living conditions.
Support offered
Sektion Dienstnehmer der Landwirtschaftskammer Vorarlberg provides an information and advice service for agricultural and forestry workers through its website and direct consultations. It offers multilingual online information, through dedicated information sheets, on employment conditions, rights and obligations, as well as legal advice (in German and English) and representation on employment and housing issues. The website provides access to financial support measures for eligible members. Guidance is also available to employers who contact the service directly.
Target groups and eligibility
The webpage is intended for agricultural and forestry workers employed in Vorarlberg, including seasonal, cross-border and transnational workers, particularly those from non-German-speaking countries. All workers in the sector are automatically members of the Chamber and can access services. Certain financial supports require a minimum duration of employment and some housing-related grants are limited to Austrian, EU or EFTA citizens or their spouses.
