Rationale and aims
Faire Mobilität provides information and advice to EU mobile (which includes seasonal) workers from Eastern and Central EU Member States working in Germany and aims to improve working conditions and help ensure fair wages. The initiative seeks to support these workers by increasing their awareness of labour, social and housing rights in their native languages.
Support offered
Faire Mobilität provides EU mobile workers in Germany with information and advice on labour and social rights and on accommodation and housing through advice centres, telephone, email and in-person counselling. The service offers free and anonymous support in workers’ native languages. Additionally, it includes mediation in cases related to labour law infringements, as well as sector-specific advice for areas where seasonal work is common.
Target groups and eligibility
Faire Mobilität targets EU mobile workers from all sectors working in Germany, including seasonal workers, with a particular focus on workers in precarious sectors and those from Central and Eastern European countries. Eligibility is limited to EU mobile workers, while some third-country nationals may be supported depending on language availability, but are in principle redirected to other services.
