Rationale and aims
BemA – Beratung migrantischer Arbeitskräfte provides free and confidential counselling to seasonal and other migrant workers in Saxony-Anhalt to support fair and safe employment in line with German law. The service aims to inform seasonal workers about their rights and obligations and to assist them in addressing employment-related issues, including situations involving precarious or non-standard work.
Support offered
BemA provides multilingual counselling and advisory support to seasonal and migrant workers and their employers, covering employment contracts, wages, working hours, health and safety, social protection and protection against unfair dismissal. The service offers tailored information and advice through direct counselling, including support for cross-border and transnational employment situations.
Target groups and eligibility
BemA targets transnational mobile workers from EU/EFTA and non-EU countries working in Saxony-Anhalt, including seasonal workers, posted workers, bogus self-employed individuals and third-country nationals. Eligibility is open to EU/EFTA and non-EU workers in Saxony-Anhalt who are engaged in precarious or non-standard employment.
