Rationale and aims
The campaign by the Croatian Tourism and Services Union invites foreign seasonal workers in the hospitality and tourism sectors in Croatia to join the union. It aims to improve awareness of available information on rights and obligations, strengthen representation, and support fair working conditions for foreign seasonal workers, particularly third-country nationals.
Support offered
The Croatian Tourism and Services Union, which conducted the campaign, provides information and support to foreign seasonal workers through online channels, social media and direct contact at workplaces. The service offers guidance on employment rights and obligations, assistance in addressing labour rights issues, and access to legal, economic and workplace support, with additional services available to union members. Additionally, it supports employers by providing them with advice on the application of collective agreements and assistance with the integration of foreign workers in their companies.
Target groups and eligibility
The campaign targets foreign seasonal workers employed in the hospitality, restaurant and catering sector in Croatia, with a primary focus on third-country nationals. Employers in the sector are also addressed, and access to specific services such as legal or economic advice is limited to union members.
