Rationale and aims
EU Gleichbehandlungsstelle provides EU mobile workers, including seasonal workers, with legal and referral advice to help them exercise their rights related to free movement, working conditions and equal treatment in Germany. It aims to improve access to clear, multilingual information on labour rights, safety regulations and minimum pay, and to support cooperation between advisory bodies that assist seasonal workers.
Support offered
EU Gleichbehandlungsstelle provides multilingual information and legal and referral advice to EU mobile workers and their family members through an online information service and cooperation partners. The service supports workers and employers by offering guidance on labour rights, working conditions, health insurance and social security, and by addressing cross-border employment issues relevant to seasonal work.
Target groups and eligibility
EU Gleichbehandlungsstelle targets intra-EU mobile workers in Germany, including seasonal workers, particularly those working in agriculture, as well as employers who hire workers from other EU countries. All EU and EEA citizens can access the services. Employers in Germany may also use the information portal.
