Rationale and aims
Garantie VISALE pour les travailleurs saisonniers provides a public rental guarantee scheme that supports workers (including seasonal) in securing accommodation by acting as a guarantor for rent, charges and property damage. The programme aims to reduce barriers linked to temporary employment contracts and lack of personal guarantors, thereby supporting housing stability for seasonal workers and facilitating access to employment.
Support offered
Garantie VISALE pour les travailleurs saisonniers provides an online rental guarantee service that covers unpaid rent, charges and certain types of property damage for eligible tenants, including seasonal workers. It operates through a fully digital platform where tenants and landlords manage guarantee contracts, offering financial reassurance to landlords. The initiative enables seasonal workers to access private, collective or non-traditional accommodation for short-term rental periods.
Target groups and eligibility
Garantie VISALE pour les travailleurs saisonniers targets individuals facing barriers to accessing private rental housing, including seasonal workers with short-term employment contracts. Seasonal workers are eligible if they hold a seasonal employment contract or job offer starting within three months, live outside the area of employment, and rent accommodation with rent ceilings specified in the scheme. The service is able to cover short rental periods from one up to nine months.
